Our Story

Sombrerito Foods was founded with a simple yet ambitious vision: to create a mass-produced product that upholds the highest standards of quality and offers a healthy alternative for all. Over the years, this dream has been realized in more ways than one. For the past 20 years, Sombrerito Foods’ flour, corn, and wheat tortillas have become a beloved staple in Olathe, Colorado and the surrounding communities.

In July of 2024, Eduardo and Maria Cordova took the exciting step of carrying this legacy forward. With decades of experience and a deep-rooted passion for tortilla-making, they are proud to continue introducing Sombrerito Foods to the Western Slope of Colorado and beyond. As a family- and locally-owned business, we are committed to delivering tortillas that are as close to homemade as possible, while ensuring the highest quality and exceptional flavor in every bite.

We use vegetable shortening in our recipes, and our flour and whole wheat tortillas are completely free of preservatives.
